Urban Transport Plan at Hitchin Library for public views and feedback.

Future transport improvements have been made available for comment by the local residents of Hitchin.
Hertfordshire
County Council is holding an exhibitions at
Hitchin Library, Paynes Park, Hitchin, on Wednesday September 29, 3pm
to 8pm, and Saturday October 2, 10am to 1pm as park of the Hitchin Urban Transport Plan.
The consultation hopes to obtain feedback on how the locals view the present transport system and take views on future proposed plans on the following:
• Parking improvements;
• Introducing car sharing and car club schemes;
• Reviewing the quality and provision of footways across Hitchin (including lighting and signing);
• Improving signing on the cycle network;
• Revising the boarding and alighting points of buses within the town centre;
• Encouraging sustainable travel choices by reducing reliance on cars.
