The Hitchin Thespians present their production of classic comic operetta ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’, presented with a special Olympian theme for 2012, promises to be a unique theatrical spectacle not to be missed. Follow Orpheus as he travels to the seat of the Gods on the highest peak of Mount Olympus, then descend into the depths of Hades on an epic mythical quest to reclaim his wife Eurydice, captured by Pluto, Lord of the Underworld. With plenty of laughs, great music, a happy ending and of course, the infamous Infernal Gallop – better known as the Can-Can – Orpheus in the Underworld has plenty to keep audiences entertained!
