A man in his twenties suffered several injuries following an attack outside a supermarket in Hitchin.

Police appeal for witnesses following an attack outside a Hitchin Supermarket
Police are appealing for witnesses and information regarding the assault which took place outside Sainsbury's in Hitchin on Tuesday 27th December.
At around 12.20pm the victim, a man in his twenties from Hitchin, was approached from behind by two men. One punched him to the head and the other then kicked him. The victim suffered a broken nose, injuries to his eye socket and cuts to his face.
Detective Constable Will Ainsworth from the Local Crime Unit in Hitchin is investigating and said: "This attack happened in broad daylight in a busy area of Hitchin. I am confident there will have been a number of people in the area who will have seen what happened.
"If you were in the area at the time of the incident and have any information which would assist the investigation, please call police."
